Singapore, 3 August 2023 — Oasys is thrilled to announce our upcoming ‘Beyond Boundaries’ hackathon in collaboration with XPLA, the universal content powerhouse, for enhanced gaming experiences and a gamer-friendly development environment. We are committed to introducing synergy and harmony in the fragmented blockchain space, bridging Layer1s, and increasing the convenience of language protocols. The ‘Beyond Boundaries’ Hackathon will bring together global talent to amplify Web3 development and integrate blockchains, protocols, oracles, and applications for a more cohesive and interoperable digital economy.
The online hackathon will be open to developers, builders, founders, and visionaries and available in Korean and English to our global audience and community. ‘Beyond Boundaries’ will emphasize harmonizing the universal blockchain ecosystem while simplifying the interaction between gaming content and blockchain. The hackathon will be a great opportunity for developers and enthusiasts to showcase their skills and accelerate the development of the blockchain industry.
The event will run from August 18 through September 3, 2023, and will feature an AMA session, hackathon submission, and final findings due. ‘Beyond Boundaries’ will conclude with a Demo session where the finalists will present their projects at Dreamplus Gangnam, in Korea. The hackathon’s total prize fund is $60,000, with Oasys and XPLA each committing $30,000 (TBD)*.

Hackathon Schedule:
- 1st AMA: August 11, 2023
- Submission starts: August 18, 2023
- Kickoff Event with 2nd AMA (Online): August 18, 2023
- Submission deadline: August 27, 2023
- Finalist announcement: August 29, 2023
- Demo Day: September 3, 2023 at Dreamplus Gangnam in Seoul
Themes for the Hackathon include:
1) Integration Solution Idea/PoC between Layer 1 Nodes: Develop ideas to connect Layer 1 nodes through cross-chain messaging protocols or communication between Layer 1 contracts. We welcome any ideas for tools that support integration with L1, especially those developed in the same language as the L1 node.
2) Ideas for Blockchain Coding Plugin Format (module genre: game, NFT): Come up with plugin programs that can attach game or NFT-related functions to the blockchain in a plugin format without separate block synchronization.
3) Ideas on Know Your Customer (KYC) UX Improvement Solution: Develop the best blockchain KYC system or model customized to XPLA and Oasys with a new UX based on technologies such as Multi-Party Computation (MPC) Wallet, along with a set of tools that can link payment and authentication along with KYC UX.
Deliverables:
- Proposed ideas in the form of Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Pitching and Demo in a standard PPT document format
- Any product that has been under development is also acceptable
The hackathon encourages participants to develop innovative ideas and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in the three themes described above.
